OUR STORY

Established 2012 | Sonoma County | Healdsburg, CA

Krystle and Jason Jorgensen founded Alley 6 Craft Distillery in 2012. As artisans and business owners, the Jorgensens' process is defined by a love for the craft and a deep appreciation for spirits.

Alley 6 is, first and foremost, a small, 100% family-owned and operated business, built by thrifty nickels and a lot of elbow grease. We've been part of the Healdsburg community since day one in 2012, and we're proud to still be a local, independent family business all these years later. It's not as common as it used to be. Amidst some of the best wineries, cideries, and breweries in the land, the distillery is a dream come true. Krystle and Jason first developed an interest in beer and winemaking after moving to Northern California. Jason started slinging drinks at a steakhouse that poured some of the best whiskies in the world, and soon fell headfirst into the craft-distilling world. They began attending tastings and shows, touring local distilleries, and eventually took a life-changing trip to Scotland.

They knew this was their life's passion, and that they could be happy doing this every day — not just whiskey, as it turned out, but gin built from local wine, brandies from Sonoma County orchards, and liqueurs made with neighbors like Dry Creek Peach & Produce and Wolf Coffee. Happy to say that after years of planning, practicing, and endless daydreaming, the first batch of Alley 6 Rye Whiskey hit shelves in the summer of 2015 — the start of what's grown into a full lineup.

Alley 6 is a true small-batch craft distillery, producing premium spirits using traditional techniques. Two 250-gallon copper alembic pot stills chug away to create our complex spirits, alongside grape-based gins and fruit brandies that draw on the wine and orchard country right around us. Every part of the process happens right here at the distillery in Healdsburg, Sonoma County — from milling grain, pressing fruit, or sourcing local wine, to mashing, fermenting, distilling, barreling, and bottling. Alley 6 is focused on quality ingredients, a hands-on process, and unique flavor profiles. Experimenting with every step has helped us understand how subtle choices shape the final product, resulting in spirits with a depth of character unlike anything you've tasted before.

We love what we do, and we do what we love. We want to share it with you.
